1. The Short Version

HeyToolify does not require an account, does not track you personally, and deletes every uploaded file immediately after processing. We only keep anonymous, non-identifying usage statistics (which tool was used, file size, timestamp) — never the content of your files.

2. What We Collect

We collect the minimum needed to run the Service:

• ✔ Uploaded files — held only in temporary server storage during processing, then deleted automatically.
• ✔ Anonymous usage logs — which tool was used, original/result file size, and timestamp. No filename content, no account, no personal identifier is attached to this.
• ✔ Standard server logs — basic technical request logs (e.g. for debugging errors), kept only briefly and not used to identify individuals.

3. What We Do NOT Collect

• ✔ No account, name, or email address (the Service works entirely without sign-up).
• ✔ No permanent storage or backup of your uploaded or processed files.
• ✔ No selling or sharing of any data with advertisers or third parties.
• ✔ No tracking cookies used to profile you across other websites.

4. How Your Files Are Handled

When you upload a file, it is sent securely to our server, processed by the selected tool (for example, compressed or converted), and streamed back to you as a download. Both the original upload and the processed result are deleted from our server immediately after the response is delivered — normally within seconds. We do not open, review, or scan the content of your files for any purpose beyond the processing you requested.

5. Third-Party Services

HeyToolify runs on infrastructure provided by third-party hosting and database providers (such as Render for hosting and MongoDB Atlas for the anonymous usage log). These providers may process technical data (like IP addresses, purely for routing/security at the infrastructure level) as part of standard hosting operations, governed by their own privacy policies. We do not instruct these providers to store or inspect your file content.

6. Cookies

HeyToolify does not use tracking or advertising cookies. Any cookies used are strictly limited to essential technical functionality (if any), and never used to build an advertising profile of you.

7. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since no account or personal information is required to use the Service, this risk is minimal by design.

8. Your Rights

Because we don't store personal data or file content beyond the brief processing window, there is generally nothing tied to you to access, correct, or delete. If you have any concern about a specific interaction with the Service, you're welcome to contact us and we'll look into it.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the Service. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
